My friend, Sunny

So, my friend, Sunny may be reading my blog soon, and I wanted to update it just for her. She is so diligent about updating her blog - I've got to do better. She has inspired me.

I can never just say, "Sunny" when I am talking about my friend, Sunny - because she's "my friend, Sunny". That's how she is listed as my contact in my email account and that's how she is listed in my heart.

I am thankful for the people God puts in my path who help me become more like Him. My friend, Sunny, I really do love you very much and hope that we will always be friends.

I will share a little something here, since I've got it on my mind...I've had SO MUCH on my mind this week.

This scripture has been engraved in my heart as of late, (thanks to an amazing person in my life). This scripture has so much weight to it:

2 Corinthians 2: 7-11: Now it is time to forgive him and comfort him. Otherwise he may become so discouraged that he won't be able to recover. Now show him that you still love him. I wrote to you as I did to find out how far you would go in obeying me. When you forgive this man, I forgive him, too. And when I forgive him (for whatever is to be forgiven), I do so with Christ's authority for your benefit, so that Satan will not outsmart us. For we are very familiar with his evil schemes."

I didn't realize that my choice to forgive could affect one's ability to accept forgiveness from God.

God, help me to forgive.

Help me to see Your plan for me and for those who share life with me. I do not want to hold anyone back from receiving true forgiveness from You. Without that (true forgiveness), I would be stripped of any hope I can feel at this moment for a life lived like You.
